How it all started...

Lighthouse began  on Sunday,  April 18, 1982.  Lighthouse's beginning was founded in a loan building called Federal Savings and Loan with twelve people in attendance.  After they met at Federal Savings and Loan,  the church moved to the Holiday Inn (now Roosevelt Grand Dakota).  In October 1982,  Lighthouse moved to the Park Square Mall in Dickinson.  We were established as a Church of God (Cleveland, TN) congregation on April 17, 1983 with sixteen charter members.  After moving to a store front in Dickinson,  in July of 1986,  we broke ground on our current property and church facility;  meeting at Ridgeway Lutheran Church during construction.  On November 16, 1986 we held our first service in our new facility.

Where we are headed...

We are headed forward.  Forward to be a lighthouse for those who are hurting,  lost, left out,  overlooked,  addicted,  cast out,  and  just as Jesus said, "The whosoever..."

We are a Lighthouse that offers the light, love, and hope of Jesus to Dickinson and the world.
